Why we're rebuilding our own sites first: and showing you the numbers

Every agency site you've ever visited says some version of "trust us, we're different." We'd rather show receipts.

So before Atomic Wax asks anyone to hand over their website, we're doing to our own sites exactly what we'd do to yours. Five of them, one at a time, starting with a travel site we run. Same process we'd sell you: inspect it, rebuild it on the new infrastructure, move it without losing Google's trail, then measure everything.

Here's what we'll publish for each one, whether it flatters us or not: how long the rebuild actually took, what it cost to run before versus after, how fast the pages got, and what happened to traffic in the ninety days after the move. If something goes sideways, that gets written up too: a rebuild process you can trust is one that's been tested where the failures were cheap.

This site, the one you're reading, is the first data point. It's built the same way yours would be. Notice how the pages appear the moment you click? That's not a trick, and it's not expensive anymore. That's the whole story, really: what used to be a luxury got cheap, and almost nobody selling websites wants you to know it yet.

First full write-up lands when the travel site crosses the finish line. See you then.
